Drawing A3 (Junior Year)
Surrealism
For surrealism I had to take at least five images, glue them into my sketchbook, and use that as a reference for my new drawing. I underachieved and only used three images, but I like how the drawing turned out. It's supposed to be a USB cord as a snake sitting on a rock in water. The tough part of the drawing was getting the cord to look right.
Tyler Dorsey (First Project)
The first assignment I did. I decided to draw a weird version of a player on the Hawks. I like the style, and the cross-hatching. I used markers, ball point pens, and colored pencils to complete this drawing. I also made a digital version of this.
Scratch-board Project
Using a scratch board was fun and frustrating at the same time. I decided to do a snow mountain since is seemed simple enough. It wasn't that easy either, but I like the end result.
Vince Staples
Hip Hop artist Vince Staples. I like his music decided to draw him.
This is also me trying to experiment with ink pens and different shading techniques.
I decided to do a cartoon-like version of him. I like how it came out.
"Dead King"
(Lion Skull)
Drawing of a lion skull. I wanted to challenge myself and do an
animal skull since I really don't draw animals that often. I used pens
and black paint for the background.
John Collins
A drawing of John Collins. I tried to be different in
terms of coloring but the jersey patterns look
awkwardly placed and I could've drawn the
letters better. I still think it looks fine overall.
Michael
Just a random picture of MJ. I really hate the wrinkles in his hair that
my pencil caused, but I people happen to like that part so it's not too bad.
Trae Young "Draft Day"
A portrait I drew of Trae Young on my vacation in Orlando.
I wanted to draw a picture of him after he got drafted.
Reading Frog
The last project I had for this class was a frog reading. I really love
the colors and how bright they are. I feel like the background allows
the foreground (the frog) to stand out more, which was the subject of this assignment.
The bookshelf, and the lamp were nice touches as well.
DeAndre' Bembry
An underrated player from the Atlanta Hawks who I
wanted to draw. I think I drew him well for a first try but
I can always do better.

Janet
Well.....since I drew MJ why not draw Janet?. That's all
I can say to describe this. I like the shading, but everything else
just looks weird. The eyes are too small and far apart. The spacing between
the lips and nose could be much better, and it just looks unfinished.
